McLaren launched the car for the 2012 Formula 1 season on Wednesday (02.01.12). Car MP4-27 is expected to compete for the F1 world championship, after they failed in the past three seasons.

Now, with the MP4-27, the team based in Woking is pinning high hopes to be able to beat the Red Bull, who dominated F1 in the last two seasons.

"Everybody on this team continues to work since we ended the 2011 racing season, to repair the car as is done in the simulator, and I look forward to testing at Jerez.  "I believe all people hesitate when you begin a test, and I can not wait to try it."

The McLaren team admitted that the new car resembles a 2011 engine. However, the MP4-27 chassis is substantially revised, in which all the major systems are updated or redesigned to welcome the new season.
